Ah, no new era's in today's words. I was so looking forward to that. Ah well just have to stumble on over to the nearest library and see what they have.

I think I need to do more random searches on Google for Japanese stuff. Some random searching later I found this: Uta-garuta.It's a kind of card game that near as I can tell, you get points for remembering the poems on the cards before someone else does. Could be interesting to try out.
