We've struck a large circle of gold today! Metaphorically speaking of course. However, if you've recently struck gold, please send me the location. Always better to share, ね

One thing I love about practicing kanji is just how totally amazing it looks. One of the many artistic outlets I would like to endeavor, would be to try my hand at Japanese calligraphy. Writing the kanji with a pen just can't give that flowing brush stroke look that comes out in the calligraphy. Now all I need to do is to get out my kid's water colors and brushes to practice with. Hopefully she won't mind.

Reading some of the history of Japanese calligraphy is also a fun, quick read.
